The Full Story
About
Betty Rosenstein is a fiber artist, designer, and educator whose passion for weaving has spanned more than five decades. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Costume Design from the University of Missouri and continued her studies through extensive workshops and classes in design and fiber techniques.


Career
Throughout her career, Betty has exhibited her work at regional and national juried shows, including the Midwest Weavers Conference, Minnesota Crafts Council exhibitions, and the Iowa State Fair, where she received numerous awards for weaving, ecclesiastical textiles, rugs, and designer crafts. As owner and manager of The Weavers' Web and later Education Coordinator at The Yarnery in St. Paul, she combined artistic practice with teaching, offering classes in frame loom weaving, tapestry weaving, tallit weaving, and advanced floor loom techniques.

Vision
Today, her work reflects a lifelong exploration of color, texture, and craftsmanship, creating handwoven textiles that honor traditional techniques while bringing beauty, warmth, and meaning to everyday life.
